Vending machines for hotels & motels
The 10pm check-in problem, and what a modern machine actually does about it.
"Is there anywhere still open?"
A guest checks in at ten. The restaurant closed at nine. The nearest store is a drive away, in the rain, in a town they don't know. Your night auditor has had this conversation a thousand times and there has never been a good answer to it.
On the Oregon coast this is not an edge case — it's most winter evenings and a good share of summer ones. It shows up in reviews as "nothing open nearby" and "wish there were more options," which reads to a future guest as a problem with your property even though it isn't.
What a smart cooler does for a property
It answers the question
Drinks, real snacks, ice cream, single-dose pain relief, phone charging cables, ponchos. A guest who would have left irritated instead gets what they need and goes to bed. The front desk gets to say yes.
It costs the property nothing
We buy the machine and the product, install it, stock it, clean it, repair it and insure it. No lease, no invoice, no purchase orders, no staff time. You provide floor space and an outlet.
No cash, no keys, no liability
Fully cashless — tap, chip, Apple Pay, Google Pay. Nothing for your night staff to reconcile, no float, no cash sitting in a lobby overnight, and no keys to keep track of.
Complaints route to us
If a guest is charged wrongly or something is out of stock, that's our phone number and our refund. Your front desk should never have to explain our machine.
It works when you're not staffed
For properties with unstaffed overnight hours, it's a 24-hour amenity that needs nobody present — which is exactly when guests want it most.
It can carry your brand
The touchscreen can display your logo and promote your own amenities — the restaurant hours, the spa, the tour desk. It's a screen in your lobby that you didn't pay for.
Sizing and placement
Placement matters more than model. A machine in a back stairwell earns a fraction of the same machine by the elevators.
- Best spots: lobby, elevator landing, the ice machine alcove, or the main corridor between parking and rooms. Somewhere guests already walk and can see it is lit.
- Under 40 rooms: a Mini 360 at 22.8″ wide, or a Pluss 440. Both fit where a full-size snack machine won't.
- 40–120 rooms: a Pluss 440 or Max 620. The 620 carries 420+ items across six shelves, which means real variety rather than eight kinds of chips.
- 120+ rooms or multiple buildings: a Max 620 plus a Freezer 550 for ice cream and frozen meals, or an Ultra 1200 where one location has to serve everybody. Multi-machine installations are straightforward.
- Requirements: one 110V outlet, reasonable climate protection, and a doorway we can get it through. We measure before we promise.
Seasonal swings: the machine stays year-round — what changes is what's inside it. Storm-watching guests buy different things than August families, so we re-plan the mix each season rather than leave a summer planogram sitting in a January lobby.
The parts your owner or corporate will ask about
- Insurance: $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate general liability. We'll name your property as additional insured and send the certificate to your risk team.
- Exclusivity: the agreement covers unattended retail at the property — vending, micro-markets and self-serve kiosks. It never touches your restaurant, room service, minibar or staffed retail.
- Revenue share: higher-traffic properties can earn a commission on sales, reported to you monthly with an itemized statement. Ask and we'll give you a straight answer for your property.
- Exit: if a machine is out of service more than 15 consecutive days, you can have it removed or end the agreement with no termination fee. Removal is always at our cost.
- Try it first: ask about a 60-day trial placement. If it doesn't perform in that window, we take it out.
Let's see if your location is a fit
Tell us a little about your property. If it makes sense, Jeff comes out, looks at the space, and you have a machine within a couple of weeks. If it doesn't, we'll tell you that too.
